Understanding the service

What this arrangement can include.

Eligible veterans may receive military funeral honors, and some veterans and family members may qualify for burial in a national or state veterans cemetery or for other memorial benefits. Eligibility and available benefits depend on service history, discharge status, cemetery requirements, and current government rules.

We help the family gather discharge documentation, submit requests to the appropriate military branch or cemetery, and coordinate the honors within the funeral schedule. Funeral-home services and merchandise are separate from government benefits, so we explain which items a benefit may provide and which remain the family's responsibility.

What to expect

A clear process, one step at a time.

01

Verify documentation

We review available service records and identify the agency, military branch, or cemetery that must confirm eligibility.

02

Request benefits & honors

Our team submits or supports the necessary requests and coordinates their timing with the funeral and cemetery.

03

Conduct the tribute

We integrate military honors and personal service details into a dignified ceremony for family and guests.

Questions about veteran honors

Clear answers before decisions.

Every family and circumstance is different. These answers provide a starting point; our funeral director will confirm the details that apply to your arrangement.

Ask a specific question

Honors must be requested and eligibility must be confirmed. A discharge document such as a DD Form 214 is often helpful, but the responsible military branch or government agency makes the final determination.
